Tianlong-2 is 32.8 m tall and has a diameter 3.35 m and is fueled by Kerosene and liquid oxygen. Stage 1 is powered by three YF-102 bought from CASC with a total lift-off thrust of 190 t. Stage 2 is powered by a single TH-11 staged combustion cycle engine with a larger nozzle for vacuum operations and a thrust of 300 kN. The small third stage is powered by the TH-31 engine with 3 kN thrust. The vehicle is designed to put a 2000 kg payload into a low 200 km orbit or 1500 kg into a sun synchronous orbit. The first launch was conducted successfully on 2 April 2023.
